THE ASTONISHING WORLD OF STEREO-VISION PHOTOGRAPHY

A stereographic  photographic presentation is exciting, fun, visually stimulating and very memorable.  Viewers get the real feeling of “being there!,” and participating in a seemingly “live” moment.

The Stereo-Vision Experience

Stereo imagery is a very effective educational tool.  A projected stereographic image brings, much more information to the eye and mind of the viewer than a regular “flat”

(x,y axes) 2-D image…  A 3-Dimensional (x, y, and z axes) program becomes more of a communion with the subject rather than merely an observation of the subject, as in 2-D photography.

Because stereo images are spatial, they are processed in the brain and memory in a unique way that imprints the photographic content more as “real-time” events offering a truly unforgettable experience. Looking at the 3-D images has been shown to cause an increase in brain serotonin, the “feel good” neurotransmitter. No wonder it is hard to stop gazing at the images once they spring to “life” for the viewer.  (Even years later, the memory of the spatial nature and subject of the images is recalled, often in great clarity, even for children, and that is the real power for its use in any educational setting.)

General

The educational needs and goals of each organization are carefully evaluated, and 3-D programs are prepared with age-appropriate narration on an ever-growing variety of fascinating subjects. Children’s programs work best with an age group of at least 6-8 years old.Stereopticon

Program presentation length can vary depending upon the nature and make-up of the audience, and the desires of the organization sponsoring the event, but most presentations range from 25-35 minutes up to 1 hour with additional time set aside for any Q and A depending upon the group composition.

“Honorariums With Heart”  Guidelines/Thoughts/Considerations

These 3-D presentations are primarily for educational and artistic uses and not in any way a professional business of mine.  The main purpose for offering these programs to public or private organizations is to expose people of all ages to the unbelievable beauty, art, wonder, astonishing diversity, and mystery of the world in which they live, but often overlook, and the vital importance of preserving and conserving our precious world by seeing it in a unique and exciting new way.

At one time I asked for a fair honorarium for these presentations, as film equipment and travel expense can add up. At this time of my life, however, my goal is to offer these images to any non-profit organization that would like to host a program FREE OF ANY CHARGES. I feel it is more important, and during these times of financial challenges, to show the work and hope that it inspires some of my viewers to see nature right around us, with a more respectful, caring and reserving attitude. I would much rather see that occur rather than receive some funds for my efforts.
